As many of you know, I grew up loving art, from painting to illustration to sculpting with clay, if it involved creativity, I did it. While sculpting and making pottery, I learned that clay must contain the right amount of moisture to remain pliable enough to yield to the will of the potter’s hands. If the clay was too dry, it cracked; if it was too moist, it became sludge.
As Christians, Isaiah 64:8 states that God is the Potter, and we are the clay. The more we intentionally saturate ourselves in the Holy Spirit, the greater we can yield to the hands of the Potter.
Psalms 37:4 tells us to “delight ourselves in the Lord,” one translation of the word “delight” translates to the words, “pliable or flexible.”
If we remain pliable in the Lord’s hands, we will be filled with the desires of God’s heart, transforming us into whatever He desires.
