In the summer of 2023, Val Monique, a first-time visitor of God Manifest, attended our service. She was a guest of Patricio, one of our most devoted church members who works in physical therapy, and I met her while at work. During the message, I began to share a couple of our most notable miracles and healings of the thousands we’ve witnessed since we started ministering two decades ago. Miracles which included two resurrections (three to date) of completely brain-dead individuals and the complete healing of 6 incurable stage-four cancers (nearly 30 lesser cancers and tumors), broken necks, broken backs, arthritis, bulging discs, medically diagnosed shorter legs growing to their correct lengths, strangulated hernia, a Vietnam veteran who was couldn’t walk for 20 years and wheelchair-bound for six years suddenly walking, jogging, and two-step dancing, and a woman with muscular sclerosis who was healed after removing an evil eye pendant.
After service, while Olivia and I visited with Val Monique, she placed both hands on her stomach and shared that she was scheduled for surgery because her doctors diagnosed her with a dead colon. She needed to have 90% of her colon removed to save her life. Val Monique shared that she would go weeks and weeks without a bowel movement, and when she was fortunate enough to have one, it would never be a complete emptying. She then asked us for prayer.
I felt the confidence of the Lord rise up in me and said to her, “If God can resurrect two brain-dead individuals this year (2023), then a dead colon is nothing for Him.” Then, Olivia and I laid hands on her and prayed a simple and short prayer.
Fast forward to this Sunday. Val Monique and her husband visited us, and she pulled Olivia aside and shared that shortly after we prayed, all her symptoms dissipated. And that today, her dead colon is fully alive and functioning perfectly!!!
God still heals, performs miracles, casts out demons, and resurrects the dead.
JOHN 14:12-15 NASB
Truly, truly, I say to you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME, THE WORKS THAT I DO, HE WILL DO ALSO; AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE HE WILL DO do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
What are some of the commandments and works of a believer?
MARK 16:15-18 NASB
And He [Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and PREACH THE GOSPEL to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will CAST OUT DEMONS, they will SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, and THEY WILL RECOVER.”
And how do you do these mighty and miraculous works? In the name of Jesus. In the authority of Jesus. And through the Holy Spirit.
MATTHEW 28:18-20 NASB
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “ALL AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and MAKE DISCIPLES of all the nations, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER and THE SON and the HOLY SPIRIT, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Healings, resurrections, miracles, signs, and wonders are not reserved for a select few “elected” believers, but every believer baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire!
Luke 3:16 NASB
John [the Baptizer] answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with THE HOLY SPIRIT and FIRE.
Pursue the gifts, especially prophecy. The Holy Spirit is the gift giver who gives His gifts freely according to the measure of your faith.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:1-5 NASB
[Apostle Paul] “Pursue love, yet DESIRE EARNESTLY SPIRITUAL GIFTS, but ESPECIALLY that you may PROPHESY. For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his Spirit he speaks mysteries. But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation. One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church. Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy; and greater is one who prophesies than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edifying.”
As a pastor, I encourage you to pursue all the gifts of the Spirit!
1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-13 NASB
Now there are varieties of gifts, but THE SAME SPIRIT. And there are varieties of ministries, and the SAME LORD. There are varieties of effects, but the SAME GOD who works all things in all persons. But to EACH ONE IS GIVEN THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT FOR THE COMMON GOOD. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
Lastly, I urge you, brothers and sisters, to crucify your flesh daily and set aside selfish and childish things in pursuit of growing in maturity and unity in Christ while living life so that you produce all the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
GALATIANS 5:17-24 NASB
[Apostle Paul] “For the FLESH SETS ITS DESIRE AGAINST THE SPIRIT, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the DEEDS OF THE FLESH ARE EVIDENT, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
If you are a Holy Spirit-filled believer who has been sidelined because of bad teaching, it’s time to arise, shine, boldly confess, and share your faith, not only with eloquent speech but with power, gifts, signs, and wonders.
