God Manifest – Church Launch – 05-21-2017

Posted by on May 23, 2017 in Sermon |

Good morning. Welcome to God Manifest.

Thank you for joining us for the launch of God Manifest as a church. As most of you know, for years, Olivia and I have both received prophetic words on becoming pastors and on starting a church. We received these words from our various pastors, complete strangers, prophets, and friends, even some of you, and a few months ago we received more confirmation and both felt that the time to start the church was now.

When you build something, no matter what it is, it’s vital to start with a solid foundation. God Manifest will be built on truth, strength, unity, integrity, God’s people, desire for intimacy with our God, and most of all God’s love.

With that said, Olivia and I would like to lay the foundation of God Manifest Church, and what God has planned for the future. I would like to start with our mission statement, which, Olivia crafted and I feel fully embraces what God wants God Manifest to be.

We are a family of believers and lovers of God, here to equip God’s people to manifest Him and make Him known to the world around us, establish the Kingdom of God here on earth, and destroy the works of darkness. We believe that Ephesians 4:11-13 is the purpose of this church, that “the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Through equipping, our hope is to present believers who will go out into the world doing as Jesus Christ has done and greater things (John 14:12).

It is our desire that God establish and build this church and to create disciples capable of walking in the fullness of Jesus Christ – capable of multiplying through the presentation of the Good News to a world seeking a Savior. God Manifest’s mission is to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, heal the brokenhearted, set prisoners and captives free, and create disciples who will stand in love, walk in faith, and display God’s Son to the world.

We Believe…

  • …There is only one true and living God who is the King of kings, Creator, and Lord of all.
  • …He is perfect, holy, just, loving, good, full of mercy and truth.
  • …He is One being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • …The Bible is the God-breathed and the infallible, authoritative, living Word of God and that it declares His true design and plan for mankind.
  • …Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was born of a virgin, lived among us as one of us but without sin and gave His life as a ransom for mankind and rose again on the third day,
  • …defeated death, and all the power of the enemy so that we who recognize Him as Lord and Savior can live and reign through Him here on earth.

As mentioned earlier, over the past few years, God has given us countless prophetic words, but God has also given us personal dreams and visions as He prepared us to take this step. At the beginning of 2017, God said to “Start in May.” Little did we know that come February, our pastors, Ray and Sue Yackell, the two who ordained us, would inform us that God told them to shut the doors to their church on the last Sunday of April. You see, Olivia and I have always been loyal members of whatever church we attended, rarely missing meetings and always tithing. The truth was, despite God’s word to me on starting in May this year, we probably weren’t going to start anything, as long as we were an active part of a church.

Over the last few years, God has been teaching us about leadership and what He expects from His shepherds. One of the main things He has taught was that a shepherd should always look out for the best interest of their flock.

A heart of a shepherd should be to foster an environment of unity in his flock, so that the flock moves as one.
Also, a shepherd’s heart should be planted so deep in God’s heart that when God’s heart moves, the shepherd’s heart moves.
A shepherd should be about our Father’s business, loving, nurturing, protecting, providing direction and in some instances providing correction.

A vision I received a few years ago, while in worship was one of a dry and barren land, similar to a desert. Suddenly a beautiful white horse appeared, running, as the horse ran, other horses appeared and started to run alongside the white horse, then gradually, one-by-one, the horses made a line around the planet. As the belt of horses, made its way over the planet, the most curious thing happened, the land which was barren, suddenly came to life as the unified horses ran over it. I believe the white horse represented Jesus Christ and the other horses were all the churches suddenly unifying themselves with what God was doing.

As pastors of God Manifest, we promise to challenge you, stretching your limits of who you believe God is, what you think He is doing, and how to live your lives fearless – chasing God’s will, no matter the location or circumstance. As leaders will seek the Lord’s heart on every message preached, every outreach we do, and every person we allow to speak at OUR church. We will do our very best, to remain God-centric in our personal lives, in and out of church, knowing that all we do, not only reflects God, but reflects and affects every member of God Manifest.

Many of you have heard my personal testimony. Also, many of you have heard me share about of great things which Olivia and I have seen God do. God named this church, God Manifest, because, as you heard in our Mission Statement, our desire is to equip, disciple, impart, empower, and send out God’s people to experience even more wondrous, miraculous, and great things than we’ve ever experienced, seen, or could imagine. Your victories, are ours and vice versa.

One of the many scriptures which this church is built upon is Jesus’ promise that we will do all things that He has done and greater. (John 14:12)

You cannot talk about the being Christ-like without talking about the love of Christ. It’s time for churches to stop competing and start unifying. John 13:35 states:

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

We cannot show the world how God loves, if we cannot display our love for one another.

We are known by our fruit and the greatest fruit of them all is “Love.”

When I started this journey with God in 2003, I was a suicidal, broken, and lost buddhist, seeking a God who heard my cries.. God moved through the most unlikely of sources to reach me, displaying His crazy passionate love for me, and through many years, He has healed my broken heart. The very moment I meant Him, I became His forever. I dove into God’s word, was washed clean through it, empowered by it, and made whole from it. As I read and attended church services, sometimes up to five nights/week, I needed more of Him and yearned to become more like Jesus Christ. One night I read Matthew 10:8:

“As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

Upon reading that scripture, I my heart sprung into action and went out and sought the sick, the needy, and the broken, not to just feed them, pray for them, or heal them, but to show them the full manifestation of who God is and how deep His love was for them.

Since that night, I met my wife and we have witnessed either individually or together the following miracles:

  1. Stage-four, incurable lung cancer completely disappear.
  2. A women with a broken neck, in a coma, arise and walk out of the hospital in 7 days.
  3. Watched Jesus manifest Himself in a room, place His hands into a woman’s abdomen who had a mass, swipe His hands down and the doctors, state the masses that was in her were gone and that she did not need surgery.
  4. An open vision of Heaven open up and liquid light pour into the sanctuary, filling every dark place.
  5. I saw an old buddhist women, who my mom introduced me to, who never had any illnesses or pain in her body, but was dealing with severe arthritis in her knees, suddenly and completely heal after prayer.
  6. I saw 20 muslim street kids in Kenya, hear the Gospel, get touched by the amazing Love of God and all give their lives to Jesus Christ.
  7. I have seen Jesus appear as a Lion, giant, intimidating but gentle and kind.

The list of amazing miracles are countless, the hearts touched endless, and lives changed through simple prophetic words priceless.

God is on the move family, and God is urging His people to arise and freely display His Love, power, mercy, and grace to a world who has never truly experienced Him. He is seeking a people, a church, a bride who will once more be about Our Father’s business, doing what we see the Father doing, saying what we hear the Father saying, and loving whoever comes seeking Him.

Olivia and I would like to invite you to join us on this journey with God. Let us grow together, learn together, experience God together, and do life together. We are starting our meetings in a house now, but as we grow and as God leads, I believe this church will reach beyond any walls or borders.

God once said to me, “If a church isn’t about the broken, the dirty, the sick, the needy, and the lost… what good is the church to Me?”

Today, I proclaim, may God Manifest through us as we step out to reach the broken, dirty, sick, needed and the lost. Here we are, Lord, send them to us.

Thank you for joining us today. Olivia and I hope that you’ll partner and unify with us on this mission for God.

Have a great day and week. Thank you for joining us!
